Note: Maximum area dimensions for wall-mounted works is 1m wide x 1.5m high
Artists are to provide their own plinths for free-standing works if required.
Conditions of Entry for ‘Connections Exhibition’
Entries are now open!
Please read the below Conditions of Entry before submitting your entry:
1. Entries close at midnight on the 18th May 2025
2. The entry fee of $30 per artist is to be paid to the account on the entry form
3. There is no commission on sales but a transaction fee of 1.8% will be deducted from the sale price. All sales will be via debit or credit card. American Express and Diner’s Club not accepted.
4. There is no limit on the number of entries per artist but wall space will be a maximum of 1.5 sq. metres per artist. That is 1.0 m wide x 1.5 m. Use more forms if entering more than two artworks. Please inquire regarding limited wall space for larger works.
5. Sculptors to provide plinths if required, and ensure that floor works are stable and have no sharp projections or edges especially at child height.
6. All 2D works to be framed with D-rings and strung with wire for hanging.
7. Photographic images printed on canvas or direct copies of another artist’s work are not acceptable.
8. The organisers will attempt to hang all work, but the exhibition’s curatorial team will have the right to not include an artwork. The artist will be informed of this before the opening of the exhibition.
9. All works are eligible for the Connections Open Prize to be judged by an independent visual art professional. Please indicate on the entry form if you wish to be considered. The details of the prize will be published on the website.
10. All 3D in-the-round or high relief works are eligible for the Sculpture Prize to be determined by the same judge. Please indicate on the entry form if you wish to be considered. The Central Coast Sculpture School Prize will be a three-day short course at the sculpture school at Lisarow. Value of approximately $300.
11. Catalogue draft will be emailed to participating artists on June 2nd 2025 for checking by June 9th 2025 after which no changes will be accepted.`
12. The exhibition will open on Friday 20th June 2025 at 6:00pm when The Open Prize and 3D Prize will be announced. The People’s Choice winner will be notified Sunday afternoon.
13. Artists are to deliver their work between 9:00 - 10:00 am Friday 20th June 2025 and collect unsold works between 3:00 and 4:00 pm Sunday 22nd June 2025.
14. The exhibition will be open for sales Friday 20th June 2025 from 5:00 pm to 8:00pm; Saturday 9:00 am to 5:00pm and Sunday 9:00 am to 3:00pm.
15. Payments to artists may take up to two weeks after the exhibition.
