5 Lands Walk Connections Art Exhibition
The Connections exhibition of paintings, sculptures and photography by Central Coast artists is held at the Avoca Beach Surf Lifesaving Club.
Now in its 18th year, Connections has attracted nationally and internationally acclaimed artists including Sulman, Mortimor and Dobell finalists and winners. Read below for more information.
Conditions of entry
Entries are now open! Please read the below Conditions of Entry before submitting your entry:
The entry fee of $30 per artist is to be paid to the account on the entry form.
There is no commission on sales but a transaction fee of 1.8% will be deducted from the sale price. All sales will be via debit or credit card. American Express and Diner's Club not accepted.
There is no limit on the number of entries per artist, but wall space will be a maximum of 1.5 sq. metres per artist ie 1m wide x 1.5m high. Please use more forms if entering more than two artworks.
NB: Depending on numbers, there may be limited space for larger works. These will be considered at the absolute discretion of 5 Lands Walk Connections organisers. Please direct inquiries to john@johnlynchsculpture.com.au.
Sculptors to provide plinths if required, and ensure that floor works are stable and have no sharp projections or edges, especially at child height.
All 2D works to be framed, with D-rings and strung with wire for hanging.
Photographs commercially printed on canvas are not accepted.
The organisers with attempt to hang all work, but the exhibition's independent curator from Gosford Regional Gallery will have the right to discriminate if space is a factor.
All works are eligible for the Connections Open Prize to be judged by an independent visual art professional. Please circle on the entry form if you wish to be considered. The details of the prize will be published on the website.
All 3D in-the-round or high relief works are eligible for the Sculpture Prize to be determined by the same judge. Please circle on the entry form if you wish to be considered. The Central Coast Sculpture School Prize will be a three-day short course at the sculpture school in Lisarow. Value of approximately $300.
Catalogue draft will be emailed to participating artists on June 10th for checking by June 17th after which no changes will be accepted.
